Terms of Service — Godot Marketplace

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Godot Marketplace (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform. Godot Marketplace is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Godot Engine project or its developers.

2. Account Registration

You must create an account to purchase or sell on the Platform. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activity that occurs under your account
Providing accurate and current information
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Creator Terms

To sell on the Platform, you must apply for and receive Creator status. As a Creator, you agree to:

Only list original content that you own or have the right to sell
Accurately describe your products, including Godot version compatibility
Provide assets that function as described
Respond to buyer questions and support requests in good faith
Not list content that violates third-party intellectual property rights
Comply with all applicable laws, including tax obligations in your jurisdiction

4. Revenue Share & Payouts

The current revenue split is displayed on our For Creators page and may be updated from time to time with notice. Payouts are available once your balance reaches $50 and are processed within 5 business days. You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your earnings.

5. Purchases & Refunds

All sales are final unless a product is materially misrepresented or fails to function as described. If you believe a purchase qualifies for a refund, contact our support team within 14 days of purchase. We reserve the right to make the final determination on refund requests.

Upon purchasing a digital asset, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the asset in your Godot Engine projects, including commercial ones, unless the Creator specifies otherwise in the product listing.

6. Intellectual Property

Creators retain full ownership of the content they upload. By listing on the Platform, Creators grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to display and distribute their content for the purposes of operating the Platform.

Buyers may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense purchased assets without explicit permission from the Creator. Purchased assets are for use in your own projects only.

7. Prohibited Content

The following content is not permitted on the Platform:

Content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
Malicious code, malware, or harmful software
Adult, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content
Content that promotes illegal activities
Misrepresented or counterfeit products
Spam or low-quality filler content

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate them.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or behavior harmful to other users or the Platform. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Pending payouts at the time of account closure will be processed according to our standard schedule.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We are not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or legality of content created by third-party Creators.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Godot Marketplace shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
