DMCA Policy

Godot Foundry respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same.

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content available on Godot Foundry infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include all of the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
  • Identification of the infringing material, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g., a URL)
  • Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

2. Designated DMCA Agent

Send your DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent at:

Email: dmca@godotfoundry.com

We will process valid notices promptly and take appropriate action, which may include removing the infringing content and notifying the uploader.

3. Our Response

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content promptly
  • Notify the creator who uploaded the content that it has been removed
  • Provide the creator with a copy of the takedown notice (with your personal contact details redacted where appropriate)

4. Counter-Notification

If you are a creator whose content was removed and you believe the removal was the result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the content that was removed and its location before removal
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed due to a mistake or misidentification
  • Your name, address, and telephone number
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district, or if outside the United States, any judicial district in which Godot Foundry may be found

Send your counter-notification to dmca@godotfoundry.com. If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed content after 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.

5. Repeat Infringers

Godot Foundry will terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of copyright. A repeat infringer is any user who has had two or more pieces of content removed following valid DMCA takedown notices.

6. Misuse of the DMCA Process

Submitting a false DMCA takedown notice is a serious matter. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Please ensure your claim is valid before submitting a notice.
